Top 10 Italian Dishes – Translation is certainly caused by about the conversion of any document from language to a different. The document is kept the way it was originally intended and written, therefore obtaining the same meaning.

Top 10 Italian Dishes Localization – Then translation may involve localization. This is when the translation ends ‘and’ adjusted for your target audience. The meaning remains.

Now let’s discuss Italian food. Generally when I have considered trying an Italian recipe, I get a version in which the recipe comes from. Why? Because recipes get localized too!

The Italian people stick to strict recipes. They also realize that certain areas of the country are perfect for certain foods. For instance Naples for Pizza and Genoa for Focaccia.

So so why do any recipes get localised?

4 Reasons for Recipe Localization
1) To meet the tastes from the new market – The original mixture of flavours isn’t quite on the tastes of the continent where it is often adopted.
2) Unable to discover the ingredients – Maybe the components just do not appear in the new country. Or maybe they’re prohibitively expensive.
3) Unable to obtain the components with the same flavours – The meat will not be as salty perhaps?
4) Time – Let’s be realistic; folks are always searching for ways to make things faster and much easier.

Italian recipes are not designed to get speeded up. The pasta should regularly be ‘al dente’ not stodgy during a Pizza Hut. Italian your meals are generally quick ‘good quality’ ingredients. It’s the products those ingredients, the ability in the chef and naturally the pallet on the consumer which make the difference.

For me, the localization of recipes should basically carried out should you be unable to obtain the ingredients required then it becomes some other dish. The Indian dish ‘Chicken Tikka Marsala’ is a useful one. It was made with the available ingredients twenty-five years ago in Birmingham. Not a localization of your existing dish. Ironically, the dish is now found in restaurants in India.

I assume that recipe translation is that is generally required. So the the next time you are searching the online world for a recipe, please consider whether you intend to search a bit harder and try the true recipe.
