Get Ready For American Recipes It’s Time to Cook Out

Just in time for the cookout and Aamerican recipes season, the country’s top grilling cities were revealed, naming the Show Me State’s St. Louis as # 1.

“St. Louis enjoys his big barbeque and ribs, and we still have the grills about to prove it,” said Earline Walker, owner of one of several city’s best barbeque restaurants. “That’s because we all know nothing would bring family and friends together such as a cookout your great smoky, real barbeque flavour of charcoal-grilled foods.”

Memphis, Atlanta and Tampa were also named from the top ten list, which had been compiled by Kingsford® Charcoal with Sure Fire Grooves™.

Easy Does It

Use a chimney to light the briquets. Just place loosely wadded newspaper inside the lower chamber, charcoal from the top and lightweight the paper. Once the briquets are able (they’ll turn an ash-gray colour), just pour them into the grill. Chimneys can be obtained at any hardware, home and garden or superstore. Visit kingsford.com for more lighting methods.

Seasonal Sides

Spice up seasonal parties! Sprinkle fresh veggies like summer squash and corn about the cob with Hidden Valley® The Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix rather than butter.

5-Minute Dessert

Before grilling desserts, brush the grates to eliminate any marinades or meat flavours through the meal. Then, drizzle KC Masterpiece® Barbecue Sauce on slices of pineapple, melon and apple, lightly grill to caramelise the topping and serve with soft ice cream.

Think Outside of the Kitchen

You can grill just about everything! Try grilling chicken wings rather than deep frying or baking them, as they’re traditionally prepared. You can also heat sides, like beans and veggies, in the saucepot about the grates, or grill pizza and quesadillas for the great smoky, real barbeque flavour.
