This set of pans promises to make a triple layered checkerboard cake, and I’m adding four flavors of Gatorade to keep things interesting. New videos every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.

  1. There’s a recipe that’s great for people with allergies. Per one box of cake mix, add one tin of any soda, stir it up, and bake it. No eggs, no milk, just soda.

  2. First of all I love your show Emmy! Secondly you should soooo come to Kuching, Borneo Malaysia…we have the best Kek Lapis…Colourful and delicious layered cakes…Google Kek Lapis Sarawak…Ahhhhmehhhzingggg!

  3. How I eat cake:
    1. Find the innermost corner of cake and slice an inch back all the way down
    2. Lay the cake strip across the fork so it fits
    3. Get yelled at for not being "ladylike"
    4. Place in mouth
    5. Chomp

  4. Omg my mom made this when I was in first grade! Except she used the colors yellow, blue, purple, and pink. My friends were soooo impressed I was pretty cool for like a week

  5. That thing is from the 80's. My Grandma had one of those and would make a checkerboard cake once in a while when I was a kid. It was fun!

  6. I remember seeing a picture of this cake and cutting out cardboard strips, measuring and making circles and covering them with foil. Pouring chocolate and vanilla cake batter and trying to perfectly pull the circles I made out of the pans. What a mess! I knew I could figure out how it was done but, what a pain! Cake turned out fine. I wish I had the set. I never made another one. Gatorade cake…?? (Ecccch) Thank you, Emmy for trying all the crazy stuff so we don't have to…BRAVO!!

  7. I made one once literally by baking two chocolate cakes and two plain cakes and using circle templates I cut out of paper then switches the peices, iced and vuala

  8. You’re so close to a million Emmy. Yay I want to congratulate you early I’m so impatient 😂💜🎉 Btw the cake looked so yummy🎂😋

  9. I grew up in a Midwestern home in a small town, my great grandmother used to work for different families in the area as a cook and one of her recipes that I grew up on was olive casserole. A lot of my friends think it sounds gross BUT I always loved it and its a very retro recipe so I thought you might like to give it a try. I found it online so thought I would pass it along.

  10. My grandma had one of these but I thought it was metal and not plastic. She loved making them. Of course everything she made always came out amazing…one thing she used to do was put all the icing in a bowl and mix it on high speed for a minute or so. I softens the icing and makes it easier to spread and not as dense as it is in the jar
