He talks a lot about all aspects of getting in shape, including diet, mental struggles, staying motivated, etc. He has done a lot of research and back up what he says.   2. Losing 20 lbs in 3 weeks means losing 6.7 lbs (20 / 3) per week. To lose 6.7 lbs per week you need a weekly caloric deficit of 23450 (6.7 x 3500) kcal. Which means a daily deficit of 3350 (23450 / 7) kcal. The average person needs about 2000 – 2500 kcal a day to sustain a healthy weight so to achieve a daily deficit of 3350 kcal you would need to eat or drink (beverages containing calories) nothing at all and perform a daily physical activity that would allow you to burn 850 kcal (such as running for about two hours depending on your weight). So you would have to eat nothing and run for two hours every single day for 3 weeks!! I think anyone attempting this would die but would probably not maintain it long before they die. The only scenario where losing 20 pounds in 3 weeks makes a little bit of sense is if you weigh so much or do so much exercise that your daily maintenance caloric intake far exceeds 3350 kcal. Otherwise, it's suicide.
