Beef Pot Pie Recipe-Homemade beef Pot Pie:

Hearty beef pot pie recipe is an excellent meal to provide on a cold day or whenever you want something sticks on your ribs. You can add extra zing to this particular recipe by building one large chopped onion and mix in 1/3 cup of dark wine with the gravy.

1 pound sirloin steak, cubed
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (14 oz.) can beef broth
Three large carrots, cubed
1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
Three tablespoons cornstarch
1/3 cup water
2 (9-inch) refrigerator pie crusts


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a saucepan over medium-high heat, brown the items of meat on every side. Pour in enough water to almost cover the meat. Bring to some boil and lower heat. Simmer meat until it falls apart quickly (about 2 to a few hours). Place chicken in a large bowl. Slightly shred the meat and season with salt and pepper to taste.

In a 2-quart saucepan, combine the beef broth, carrots and potatoes. Cook over medium-high heat until almost tender (about 15-20 minutes).

This recipe is surely an American favourite. We love hamburgers, so building a pie outside of our favourite meat sandwich is a winning idea. To give this recipe a richer flavour, you may substitute one can of mushroom soup for one can of tomato soup.

Pour mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mound the mashed potatoes across the meat mixture (do not cover meat). Sprinkle cheese on the top of the potatoes.

Bake for half an hour, or until potatoes are golden.

Two cloves garlic, minced
One tomato, sliced
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 10-inch deep dish pie plate.

In a substantial skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until beef is brown; drain. Spread meat mixture in the pie plate.

1/4 cup salsa
Two tablespoons ketchup
One tablespoon steak sauce
1 (8.5 oz.) package corn bread/muffin mix
Minced fresh parsley (optional)


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a big oven proof skillet, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium-high heat until meat is brown; drain. Stir the soup, salsa, ketchup and steak sauce.

Prepare the cornbread batter in line with package directions; let indicate 2 minutes. Spoon batter over beef mixture. Bake for fifteen minutes or until corn bread is lightly browned. Garnish with parsley.
